Hello Friends, 

Welcome to another exciting year of loving and learning at Joseph Brown Elementary.  Whether you are a parent, guardian, educator, student, or just an interested friend you are a part of our large family.   Our mission at Joseph Brown Elementary is to help all students learn and demonstrate proficiency in the curriculum to become productive members of a multicultural society.  We are dedicated to reaching our academic goals while making it our primary business to love and respect all kids. We are so proud to announce for the third year in a row that we are making tremendous gains in reading and math.  This year we can boast that 94% of our students were declared proficient or advanced in reading and 90% of our students were declared proficient or advanced in math according the latest TCAP results.  This is an awesome achievement and it was made possible by the commitment of our exceptional educators and the hard work of our dynamic student body.  This year we intend to maintain our upward and onward trends by continuing to focus our instruction, continuing to seek professional development opportunities, and continuing to network with parents and community leaders to enhance our teaching and learning.  We invite you to visit our school at anytime, our doors swing on welcome hinges.  Most teachers have a planning time each day and they will be glad to set up an appointment to meet with you.  We encourage you to get involved with the array of activities and academic programs at Joseph Brown Elementary. We need you to become a truly successful school.  With your help our kids will succeed, our country will succeed, and the entire world will become a more successful place to live.
