GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Regular Education students must earn a minimum of 26
credits in order to graduate from Culleoka,
and pass 3 Gateway Tests (Science, Math, Language Arts). The following courses are required: LANGUAGE ARTS: 4
COURSES (English or Accelerated English I, II, III, AND IV) SOCIAL STUDIES:
3 COURSES (US History, Government/Economics required) SCIENCE: 3
COURSES (Biology and 1 Physical
Science required) MATH: 3
COURSES (Algebra I required ) LIFETIME WELLNESS: (1 unit required) The above constitute 14 required credits; the remaining 12 credits needed for
graduation can be comprised of electives. Electives can come from any of the
core academic subjects or technical areas.
If students are following the College Path, they must also take 2 semesters of
the same foreign language, one fine art, and Algebra II and Geometry. If students are following the Technical Path, they must take at least 4 classes
in one of the following areas:
Agriculture, Family and Consumer Science, Business, or Marketing. Students can easily complete all requirements for
College Path and Technical Path and graduate under the Dual Path. TENNESSEE SCHOLARS All students should consider becoming a
Tennessee Scholar. This is an academic
honor and achievement. Tennessee
Scholars will be recognized at graduation and may potentially receive
scholarship money. To be Tennessee
Scholars, students must complete all requirements for College Path , maintain
a C average, and in addition, take at least one vocational course, math
through Pre-Calculus, one business/computer related class, and complete 20
hours of community service. Must also
have 95% attendance, no out of school suspensions, and complete an
application. |
