Foundations of Algebra I

This is the class for students who need much extra preparation before taking Algebra I.  Most students here will go on to take Foundations of Algebra II. 

Algebra II

We will work hard at preparing for the ACT and SAT college preparation tests.  College algebra will be easy after completing this class!

Foundations of Algebra II

We will be preparing for both the End of Course Test coming up in May and for the next math class.  Most students in this class will take Algebra I next year and will have to pass the Gateway Test afterwards. 

Ask your child how he or she is doing.  Many are doing well but at this point, some are struggling.  I suggest asking them to "teach you" what they have learned.  It's a great way to review and your child will see your interest!

Algebra I

This is the math class that everyone must take!  At the end of this course we will take the Algebra Gateway test, which must be passed before graduation.  

So far, this class has been the best, most enjoyable class I have ever taught!  Mrs. Payne and I have a good time teaching these kids and I believe they have benefited a great deal by having two teachers in the room.
