The Family Resource Center works in partnership with the parents,
the community, different agencies, the school and businesses to help each child
succeed in school. The Family Resource Center helps find resources, give
parents supports, and work through different issues with
students and families. The motto of the FRC is "The children
of today connecting with tomorrow's future."
The Family Resource Center offers a variety of programs. Examples of student programs includes anger management
classes, mentoring, peer mediation, small group sessions, and one on one assisstance. The Family Resource Center sponsors a canned food drive
and refers families to the local Christmas Gift program.
During the winter, the Family Resource Center hosts a Health Fair. Special
guest speakers visit the school and talk about different health issues.
The Family Resource Center also provides a Parent
Information Line with information on different resources
and topics, including up-to-date homework assignments and classroom information through the Homework
Hotline (see message numbers below). For a complete directory of topics and
bulletin boards available on the Parent Information Line, call the Family Resouce Center.
The Family Resource Center continues to offer new
