Text Box: The Academic Decathlon is a team competition wherein students match their intellects with students from other schools.  Students are tested in ten categories:  Art, Economics, Essay, Interview, Language and Literature, Mathematics, Music, Science, Social Science, and Speech.  Gold, Silver and Bronze medals are awarded for individual events and total scores. Winning teams advance through the local, regional, and state levels of competition. The state champions compete at the national finals.

Mt. Pleasant High School has the only team in Maury County.  Our officers and coaches are:

Text Box: The MPHS Band is directed by Mr. Sam Stough.  Contact info is 931-379-4054, Band Room, or stoughs@k12tn.net.  The 2009 marching band consists of 32 members.  The show theme this year is “Rhythms of Life”, including:  ‘Bring Me to Life’ by Evanescence, ‘Life is a Highway’ by Rascal Flatts, ‘Viva la Vida’ by Coldplay, and ‘Livin on a Prayer’ by Bon Jovi.
The band performs at all home and away games and will compete at the following marching competitions:
