Current Events

Monday, March 3 – Red or White Day – dress in red or white or red/white stripes! 

Tuesday, March 4 –  Students will draw a character or scene from their favorite Dr. Seuss book and post it in the hallway! 

WACKY Wednesday, March 5 – This is our BIG DAY of activities.  We will begin with Inside/Out Day – students wear their clothes inside out on that day!!!  Whoville Hair Day – students come up with the wackiest hairdo that they can!  After exercise in the morning, each grade level will swap teachers within that grade and read to another class.  At 9:00, we will ALL go to the hallway and “Read Across Riverside” by lining the hallways with students and teachers to read for 30 minutes.  The rest of the day will be DEAR – Drop Everything And Read!

Thursday, March 6 – students will write their own Dr. Seuss rhyme, poem, or story during our morning literacy block!  They will be posted in the hallway and shared with friends!

Friday, March 7 – Silly Hat Day and Hop on Pop Day!  All the dads and granddads are invited to come to lunch and have Green Eggs and Ham in our cafeteria! Thanks to the 121 visitors who came to help us celebrate Hop on Pop Day!  We hope you will join us again soon!
