Take Your Child to School Day was held on August 24th &
25th at Joseph Brown Elementary School. Parents were able to see the
importance of being on time and participate in their child’s busy morning
schedule.

Joseph
Brown Elementary and JBES PTA hosted a Boo Hoo Breakfast on August 16th for
kindergarten parents. The breakfast was very much appreciated by everyone
who attended.


On March 1, 2010 McDowell Elementary School hosted Family Literacy Night.
The theme for this year’s event was “Wild for Reading”.
MES students and parents enjoyed a storyteller performance by Kathryn
Atkins-Roberson


During the “Wild for Reading” tour stops, MES students and parents
participated in hands-on literacy activities.
MES students and parents ended the night with a Zoo on the Move show.
The show presented by the Nashville Zoo Wildlife on Wheels program.
