Afternoon Car
Riders
Our first priority for car rider dismissal is student safety. We
strive to provide the safest and most efficient means of dismissal for
your children. Please follow these rules so that our car rider dismissal
can proceed smoothly and safely.
 Please
place your numbered hang tag on your rearview mirror so that it is visible
to all adults working in the car rider line. Do
not take down your hang tag until your child is in the car.
Do
not block the entrance to the school. Always leave room at the entrance
for buses and emergency vehicles.
If
you do not have your hang tag, you may be asked to pull to the side of
the line until your child can be located. This is for safety reasons
as well as smooth traffic flow.
As
you enter the parking lot, a double line of cars will form. Please
do not change lanes until your child is safely in your car. This
will ensure that your child comes out at the appropriate time.
When
it is time for your child to come to your car, please
put your car in park and stand outside your car door so that
your child can see you.
Do
not use the outside lanes on either side of the double line of cars.
This allows emergency vehicles access to our building.
Always
leave room at the parking lot entrance for buses and emergency vehicles.
The
gravel road around the back of the building is for buses and emergency
personnel only.
Do
not come into the building to wait for your child. Please
wait in the car rider line.
Do
not leave your car unattended in the car rider line. If
you need to come into the building, please park in a designated parking
place.
If
you must pick up your child before 3:15, you must come into the office
to sign him/her out.
If
your child does not come out, you will be directed to park your car in
the side parking lot and to come inside and retreive your child.
