Dear Parents,

I am very excited to be teaching your child this year!  We are going to have a great time in class and we are going to learn a great deal together.

When I say together, I mean all of us…your child, you and me!  We will be working together as a team with a common goal.  That goal is to educate your child and together, we can do this in the least stressful way.  I can’t do this alone; you can’t do this alone; and certainly the students can’t do it alone.

Please be involved with your child’s studies.  The rewards for active participation may not be seen on a day-to-day basis, but they will manifest themselves “down the road”, I assure you.

I will keep you informed of all that is happening in my class.  I will communicate through the school web-site, email, telephone calls and through the assignment book.  Please check these sites often.  My email address is Norrisb1@k12tn.net and I will check this address three times a day and I will respond upon delivery.

I am the mother to two wonderful children; Allie is in the sixth grade and Stan is a junior at Central.  They take my time when I leave school; therefore call me at school if you have any concerns or questions.  If an emergency arises during my “mom hours”, please leave me a message on my answering machine and let me know anything that I need to know regarding your child.

Thanks for sharing your child with me this year!  Come and visit when you get a chance…I’ll put you to work!
