Ridley's Ladybugs
Hello, friends!!!  Welcome to our web page. We are busy fourth graders. Hope you enjoy your visit.

Pennies for Pages

We save pennies, and only pennies, to buy books for our library.  Each jar full of pennies can buy about five books.  Mrs. Ridley's classes have given almost forty books to the school library over the years.  If you see a book that has a label reading "Ridley's Readers" that's one of the Pennies for Pages books.
Later in the year we will use our jars of pennies to help us learn about graphing in math.
Information for Parents to Remember
Spelling –
Two spelling tests are given each week.
* Wednesday – Trial test for all spelling words
( if you make 105 on Wed. – NO TEST for you on Friday).
* Friday – Final test ( last chance to make 105).
Science and Social Studies –
For each chapter in our books a StudyGuide is provided – The guide is assigned for Homework one night, and the next day we go over the answers in class.  The following day the test is given.
***  Students can earn extra credit in these subjects.  They have special assignments to complete in order to earn bonus points (only one extra credit is allowed for each nine week grading period.)

Click on this lady bug to see our Re-Duce, Re-Use, Re-Cycle Projects.
GROW (Geographical Review of the World) –
Grow questions are copied from the class chart on Tuesday –They must be answered by Thursday.  We check our answers on Thursday for a test on Friday.
Test for English, Math, Reading, and Health –
The test for these subjects is included in Assignments, which are written
on the board.  The students know that whenever we begin a new chapter in any of these subjects that at some point in time, we will have a test.  They need to prepare daily and not the night before the test.
I hope this information is helpful in preparing your child for class.
