Mrs. Wilson's Kindergarten Discipline Plan
Dear Parents,

I am delighted that your child is in my class this year.  We can look forward to many exciting and rewarding experiences as the year progresses.
As I firmly believe that life-long success depends on self-discipline, I have developed a Classroom Discipline Plan that affords every student the opportunity to manage his or her own behavior.  Your child deserves the most positive education climate possible for academic growth.  Therefore, this plan will be in effect at all times.

Classroom Rules

1.I CAN RAISE MY HAND TO TALK.
2.I CAN BE QUIET AT WORKTIME.
3.I CAN KEEP MY HANDS AND MY FEET TO MYSELF.
4.I CAN WALK IN THE SCHOOL.
5.I CAN FOLLOW DIRECTIONS.

To encourage the students to follow the classroom rules, I will reinforce appropriate behavior with:

Behavior certificates, stickers, surprises from the treat
jar, treats, movies, and lots of praise ( pats and hugs, too)

If a child chooses to break a rule:

1st time—Warning-each child will have one verbal warning before consequences.

2nd time—5 minutes out of recess or centers—child will pull a green bear from behavior  chart.
3rd time—10 minutes out of recess or centers—child will pull a yellow bear from behavior chart.

4th time—15 minutes out of recess or centers—child will pull a red bear from behavior chart. The student will take a “sad note” home which will have to be signed by parents and returned the next day.

5th time—Out of class; to the office

Severe Disruption—Telephone call the parent.  Punishment to be decided by the princpal.

Thank you for your support,

Mrs. Wilson
