E. A. Cox Middle School

Dedicated to Excellence in Education

      • Principal Tonjia PottsWelcome to E. A. Cox Middle School!  We have many plans for an exciting 2022-2023 school year – all centered around high expectations for our students and celebrating their successes.  Our teachers, staff, and administration are dedicated to providing rigorous academic instruction in a welcoming and safe learning environment.  Students are encouraged to seek out both social and academic clubs, cultivate an appreciation of the arts, and participate in extracurricular and athletic activities.

To our families, we encourage you to be an active participant in your child’s education.  There will be extensive opportunities for you to attend events at the school this year.  Every second Thursday at 9:00 a.m., we will host “Coffee with the Principal,” where you will be able to offer your input and stay informed about any upcoming plans for Cox Middle School.  Each quarter, we will host Student-Led Conferences, where your child will explain their academic and social goal-setting and the data they are using to inform that process.  Please see our calendar to stay informed about all our athletic events as well!

I look forward to meeting and getting to know each of you this year as we all work together to make this 2022-2023 school year special for all our students.

        Tonjia Potts,  Principal
