Message from the Superintendent of Schools

Welcome to Maury County Public Schools. Our mission is that we will provide the educational instruction, tools, and environment for every child to succeed in LIFE as Life-long Learners, Independent Thinkers, Fearless Innovators and Exemplary Citizens and our vision is educating every child for LIFE! Maury County Public Schools has a reputation for excellence and our students are celebrated for their achievements. We serve nearly 13,000 pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students and operate 19 traditional elementary, middle and high schools; three K-12 unit schools, one non-traditional high school; and one alternative school in our county.

MCPS is committed to equipping teachers and students with the tools they need to be successful and we pledge to face the ongoing community and state financial challenges that go along with running a school district. We understand our students will be competing on a global level once they leave MCPS. Our community participated in formulating the 7 Keys to College and Career Readiness and those Keys strategically drive our classroom decisions and our financial decisions. The 5-year district strategic plan will guide us through these next few years.

Individual school websites are under Schools. You can also find us on Facebook and Twitter. Our e-newsletters will give you more specific information about what is taking place with Maury County Public Schools.  You can also listen each week to awesome school and district news on 103.7 WKRM with The Big Yellow School Bus; Saturdays at 9 am, Sundays at 6 pm, and Mondays at noon.

As both a parent of MCPS students and as an educator, I know support from our communities is critical to our success. Parents who are involved in their child’s learning goes a long way in the success of that child. Together, we’ll continue the work before us and I appreciate your support of Maury County Public Schools.

I encourage you to contact us if we can be of service in any way.
