The MCPS Summer Meals Program will run May 26 to June 30, Monday through Friday from 9:30 am to 12 pm.

Maury County Public Schools Central Office will resume regular office hours on Monday, May 4 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m Monday through Friday

Please maintain social distancing guidelines and adhere to signage posted at Central Office reception area. If you can, please request a zoom meeting versus an in person meeting with staff at MCPS Central Office.

Important Message from Dr. Chris Marczak, Superintendent of Schools - 4.30.20

Good afternoon parents;

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee recommended the closure of all Tennessee schools throughout the remainder of this academic year.  As a result, Maury County Public Schools will be following the Governor’s recommendation and will be closing for the remainder of the 19-20 school year.  Regardless, we will still be providing support for parents and students with voluntary academic packets, meals, online resources, and such through May 19th.

We have met with Principals, local health officials, and district officials to make a determination for special individual school events, to include proms and graduations.  High schools will be holding their Proms on June 27th.  Northfield Academy will be having their graduation on June 27th.  CHS, Culleoka, Hampshire, Mt. Pleasant HS, Santa Fe, and Spring Hill HS will have their graduations on June 29th.  We are looking forward to holding these events and celebrating the success of our seniors!  

As of now, the Governor has lifted the stay-at-home restrictions on certain businesses, but, sanitary guidelines are still in place as well as groups larger than 10 are still prohibited.  Our school grab-n-go dates and times are scheduled for May 14th and 15th at each school from 10am - 6pm.  Please check our Weekly Parent Update for current information.

As you know, all decisions will be made with the health and safety of students and the community first, but are subject to change.

I pray that you and everyone in your family is well during this time.  Hopefully, we will be over this pandemic soon.

Central Office is Closed - 4.3.20

 

The Maury County Public Schools Central Office will be CLOSED until further notice due to the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Stay at Home Executive Order from Tennessee Governor, Bill Lee. If you are in need of Central Office assistance, please email askMCPS@mauryk12.org.



Update - Tuesday March 24, COVID-19 School Closure extended to April 24. 

Parents and Families of Maury County Public Schools,  

Tennessee Governor Bill Lee held a press conference today at 3 p.m. and requested that all Tennessee schools remain closed through April 24th; Maury County Public Schools will be complying with this request.  As of today, March 24th, all Maury County Public Schools will extend the COVID-19 school closure until April 24th. We will be working on events that were scheduled, like proms that are now within the new closure time period and send out an update as soon as we can. 

Also, our Child Nutrition Department at Maury County Public Schools has announced today that the free meals being provided from 9:30 a.m to 12 p.m. daily will be served during our next weeks scheduled spring break on Monday 3/30, Tuesday 3/31 and Wednesday 4/1 with the exception of Santa Fe Unit and Highland Park Elementary locations. No meals will be served on Thursday 4/2 or Friday 4/3, however extra portions will be available on Wednesday 4/1. 

Please understand, that decisions made today may change tomorrow with the nature of the pandemic we are facing. We are doing the best we can with the information we have each day as it changes rapidly. We will do our best to inform you when there is new information.

COVID-19
Important Information for Maury County Public Schools:
Effective Tuesday March 17th, ALL District Maury County Public Schools will be closed due to COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) until April 13, 2020. All athletics, school plays, and before and after school activities are hereby postponed until further notice. 

Upon advisement of the Governor of TN and local advisory medical professionals, effective tomorrow, Maury County Public Schools will be closing schools through Monday, April 13th. All athletics, plays, and before and after-school activities are hereby postponed until further notice. We will be getting out information on food distribution pickups at select schools by mid-week. Dining rooms will not be open, all meals will be pick up only, and children 18 years and younger will need to be present to pick up meals.

Teachers have been making packets for students to have to work on at home if parents choose. These packets can be picked in the schools’ main office. Principals will be on hand to assist. Report cards will be distributed at a date to be determined and will be communicated by each school.

12 month employees will be working at the direction of their direct supervisors. Working from home, when applicable, will be encouraged. All employees should check with their direct supervisors if there are questions. All 10 and 11 month employees will not report to work but will still be paid during this time as if this were an inclement weather situation. Supervisors of these employees will be in contact with specifics.

During this time of shut down, we will be doing our best to take care of all of our employees and feed our students. I encourage all parents to quarantine your children as much as possible. Although we are out of school through April 13th, allowing children to gather and organize at various places around the county would be counterproductive to the action of shutting down our schools. As the CDC and Mayor has said, all gatherings of 50 or more people need to be cancelled and discouraged. Please help us help you get better. We will get through this time and we will do this together. From the movie Apollo 13, failure is not an option and I believe that this is going to be our finest hour.
