Maury County Public Schools Manufacturing Day
On October 25th, Columbia Machine Works, JC Ford, Landmark Ceramics, and Columbia State Community College welcomed 120 Advanced Manufacturing, Mechatronics, and STEAM Engineering students from Maury County Public Schools for an engaging Manufacturing Day event. This event was part of a nationwide initiative designed to highlight the modern landscape of manufacturing careers and foster connections with the future workforce.
Students had the opportunity to explore cutting-edge facilities and witness firsthand the innovation driving the manufacturing industry. During the lunch hour, generously sponsored by Maury Alliance, students received valuable insights about TN Promise funding, which supports local training programs geared towards preparing them for rewarding careers in manufacturing.
This successful event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Maury County Public Schools, Columbia State Community College, and the Maury County Chamber & Economic Alliance.
Photos from the event showcase students engaged in learning experiences and touring state-of-the-art manufacturing sites.
